Xolo Play price in India tagged at Rs 15,999, up for pre-order now

The Xolo Play smartphone meant especially for gaming that had arrived in India earlier this week has now gone up for pre-order for a price of just under Rs 16,000. For a relatively pocket-friendly price, the Xolo device offers a set of advanced features and boasts of employing the Tegra 3 processor which makes it capable of supporting some demanding games.

This quad core Nvidia chipset ticks at a speed of 1.5GHz and tags along a 12-core ULP GeForce GPU for rendering enhanced graphics through the Xolo Play handset’s 4.7-inch touchscreen. The 5-point capacitive display has been deployed with IPS as well as OGS technologies and has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Casual photographers can utilize its 8MP auto focus camera with flash and a BSI sensor for recording full HD videos, while a front-mounted 2MP webcam comes in handy for making face-to-face conference calls. Loaded with an entire gigabyte of RAM, the Jelly Bean-powered Xolo Play brings 4GB of onboard memory along with a microSD card slot for increasing the storage further by up to 32GB.
