The Zync Z1000 is yet another pocket-friendly tablet which offers a multi-touch real estate of 9.7 inches for a price less than Rs. 11,000. Based on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the company says that the device is upgradeable to Android Jelly Bean.
Outfitted with a 9.7-inch 5-point multi-touch capacitive display, the high definition screen is capable rendering visuals in 1024 x 768p resolution. In addition to 1GB of DDR3 RAM, it employs a 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor to ensure smooth multitasking and improved performance. In order to allow users to carry out web conferencing, capture still shots and record videos, the device is equipped with a 0.3MP front-mounted camera and a 2MP primary snapper.
The 3G-enabled slab has a SIM card slot as well as an expansion slot to increase its memory by up to 32GB using a microSD card. It ships with 8GB of onboard memory. The Z1000 draws power from a 7000mAh lithium-ion battery and is embedded with a mini HDMI connector, a microUSB port, a DC port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Applications like Ibibo, BigFlix, Hungama and many more have been pre-loaded in the device.
The Z1000 will be available for purchase for a price of Rs. 10,990 through authorized distributors and various e-retailers like Flipkart, Naaptol, Indiatimes, Infibeam and more. It is backed by a one-year warranty.
