Dell XPS 10

The Dell XPS 10 is the latest slate to arrive with the Windows RT platform, while the XPS Duo 12 Ultrabook has a convertible form factor much like the Inspiron Duo. These devices are slated to hit stores by the end of October after Microsoft launches its next ‘big thing.’

With the XPS 10 slate, the company claims to offer a long battery life with an intuitive touch experience. The slab tags along a mobile keyboard dock for quick input and brings an ARM processor with the Windows RT platform under one roof for smooth operations.

“The XPS 10, XPS Duo 12 and XPS One 27 represent the culmination of a deep understanding of the ‘Bring Your Own Device’ movement and insights gained from both our consumer and business customers,” remarked Sam Burd, global vice president, PC product group at Dell. “The new set of products Dell unveiled today represents a milestone in our design and approach to user experience.”

Next in line is the XPS Duo 12 Ultrabook that sports a flip hinge 12.5-inch touchscreen which converts it into a tablet. The full HD panel layered with Corning Gorilla Glass is said to feature 97 percent more pixels against regular 720p displays. With regards to the form factor, the device is cast in a chassis made from aluminum and carbon fiber, amongst others.

The Dell XPS 10 and XPS Duo 12 prices are still under wraps. As mentioned above, the release date for both devices is stated to fall towards the end of October after the Windows 8 platform is launched.
