The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 that had disappeared from the scene after it was first exhibited at the MWC, has resurfaced once again. The device has been put up for sale through Best Buy and is expected to hit store shelves next month in the US.

Similar to most other Asus tablets, the slate in question can also be used with a keyboard dock that transforms it into a netbook, allowing users to stay productive on the move. It binges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and packs the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM 8260A Snapdragon S4 Krait processor or 1.6GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. The front panel of the slab flaunts a WUXGA HD 1920 x 1200p LED backlit Super IPS+ display that offers a multi-touch real estate spanning 10.1 inches.

Besides 1GB RAM and up to 64GB internal storage, this tablet comes with 8GB Asus Webstorage free of charge. It comes drenched in shades of Amethyst Gray or Champagne Gold and is armed with an 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, auto focus, an F/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. A front-mounted 2MP camera has been provided to facilitate video conferencing on the move.

The Communication options of the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, while it can be connected to a number of other peripherals using its 2-in-1 audio jack, a micro-D HDMI output and a 40-pin port. It also features a microSD card slot. Moreover, this tablet can cough up the juice for about 9.5 hours and for close to 14 hours, when docked.

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 price and release date are yet to be announced officially by the company. But according to Engadget, it will be up for grabs in the US starting July 16. The variants with 32GB and 64GB onboard memory carry price tags of $499 (approx. Rs. 28,350) and $599 (approx. Rs. 34,030) and the dock will be available separately for $149 (approx. Rs. 8,465).
