The price details of the 3G Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 are out and interested users in the US can now lay their hands on the device by heading to the official company website. It has also hit availability status through authorized retailers across the country.
While companies have already started adopting Jelly Bean, the device in question continues to relish the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. But an Android 4.1 update may be on the cards. Its ability to multitask can be attributed to the MediaTek 6575 Cortex A9 processor which clocks in a speed of 1GHz. Its 3G model has been loaded with 1GB of LP DDR2 RAM, while the version running only Wi-Fi features 512MB of internal memory.
The Lenovo tablet with dimensions of 192 x 122 x 11.5 millimeters, tips the scales at 400 grams. Its front panel is dominated by a 7-inch LED 5-point multi-touch display that is capable of rendering visuals in 1024 x 600p resolution. The slate comes in variants with 4GB, 8GB or 16GB capacity as well as an expansion slot to increase it further using a microSD expansion slot.
Moreover, the IdeaTab A2107 has dual SIM card slots (WCDMA/GSM + GSM) and it even comes with built-in Wi-Fi for internet access via an open hotspot. This device can also be used for making video calls, thanks to the front-mounted 0.3MP webcam. A 2MP camera has been embedded on the back panel for the purpose of clicking images and recording videos.
Stereo speakers have been incorporated into the Android tablet for reproducing better audio along with a microphone. The GPS-enabled device arrives with Bluetooth 4.0 and sensors like G-sensor and ambient light sensor. Needless to say, the slab lets users visit the Google Play store as well as Lenovo App Shop. It sports physical keys for power, volume and vibration and can cough up the juice for Wi-Fi browsing time of up to 10 hours at a stretch.
