Alcatel One Touch Evo7 comes with a removable 3G module

One Touch Evo7

With the Alcatel One Touch Evo7, the company seems to have got its first modular tablet that allows users to choose the connectivity mode as per their requirements. For allowing this, it offers a plain Wi-Fi mode that can be further upgraded to 3G via a removable module.

Users can easily switch over to the 3G mode by simply taking off the detachable frame bordering the back panel and planting in the 3G unit. The casing will be available in a variety of shades like black, white and red for customers to add their own taste to the look of the tablet. And to top it off, the company will offer colorful flip covers, leather pouches and hard zip sheaths to make it easy for users to carry the device wherever they go. The 3G module will either be bundled in with the slate or be out as a standalone unit depending on the regional availability.

Alcatel Tablet

As for the specifications, the Alcatel device rides into town on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform unlike the recent One Touch Venture phone and draws fuel from a 1GHz processor. In addition to 1GB of RAM, it sports a microSD card slot that supports an additional 32GB of hoarding capacity. A 7-inch display sits pretty on the front panel and that’s not all; there’s even a front-facing secondary camera which lets users conduct video chats and capture self-portraits on the go. The Google Play store can be accessed for downloading over 6,00,000 apps, games, movies and much more.

Potential buyers will have to wait for the company to shed some light with respect to the price and release date details for the Alcatel One Touch Evo7.
