AT&T new iPad ready for its March 16 debut

The AT&T new iPad March 16 release is now backed by an official reminder from the network carrier. So for anyone who thinks Verizon is not their cup of tea, AT&T appears to be a viable option.

Equipped with a 9.7-inch Retina display, the device flaunts visuals in a resolution of 2048 x 1536p. The A5 chip which was seen in the second generation iPad has been replaced with the A5X processor this time around. The rear panel shows off a 5MP iSight camera featuring a backside illumination sensor.

“The new iPad is coming to the nation’s largest 4G network and we could not be more excited,” shared Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility. “Our customers will get a widespread, ultra-fast and consistent 4G experience from AT&T on day one, plus unlimited access to the nation’s largest Wi-Fi network at no extra charge. We’re offering very competitive data plans for iPad and are confident customers will agree that AT&T delivers the best experience.”

Apart from the aforesaid, the hardware specifications of this latest slate also reveal a battery which keeps it running for a maximum time of 10 hours. The new gadget has been launched in two versions, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 4G. The latter can access data through AT&T and Verizon Wireless 4G LTE networks, from the service providers who will be exclusively offering the third edition iPad.

The AT&T new iPad price tag reads $629 (approx. Rs. 31,400) for the 16GB Wi-Fi + 4G model. The 32GB and 64GB ones with the same connectivity options can be grabbed for $729 (approx. Rs. 36,390) and $829 (approx. Rs. 41,380), respectively.
