The price of the iBall Slide i6516 has been chalked out by the Mumbai-based electronics firm, and for a 7-inch slate with the features it possesses, Rs. 7,990 sounds like quite a bargain. This latest addition to the brand’s range of affordable slates has been aimed by it at the holiday season rush, and the company has gone as far as to say that this device is one of the best Wi-Fi tablets in the market right now.
The device comes complete with a 7-inch HD display that also tags along a capacitive touchscreen. The IPS technology that’s on offer with the product grants it the screen quality which is needed for it to be viewable from all angles. Moreover, this slab also houses an HDMI port which can be utilized by users in order to connect it to televisions and projectors. And then there’s also its direct USB connectivity that makes the tablet a lot simpler to exchange data with. Bluetooth is another option for performing the said function as well.
Under its hood, the Slide i6516 carries a Cortex A8 processor that has been clocked at 1.2 GHz so as to handle the multitasking that it makes possible. Plus, 1GB of DDR3 RAM can also be found in it. As far as its imaging options are concerned, this slate possesses a 2MP rear snapper as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video chatting purposes. One of the functions that the rear camera has on offer includes 360-degree panoramic photography.
The tablet runs Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Furthermore, it comes pre-loaded with essential applications that include the likes of Facebook, Zomato and CricketNext and more. It draws its juice from a 4000mAh Lithium Ion battery, the details of which haven’t been mentioned. Last we heard from the company was in October this year, when it launched in India its 3G 7334 tablet – another slate that falls on the affordable side of things.
There’s no news out yet about when exactly the iBall Slide i6516 will be made available for purchase in the country. Its price however, has been revealed to be Rs. 7,990.
