Micromax Funbook Android 4.0 tablet makes its debut in India

Micromax seems to be all set to take on the HCL tablets with its latest contender in India, the Micromax Funbook. This newest kid on the block has been powered by a number of brands which include Pearson, Vriti, Everonn, Indiagames, BIGFlix, Zenga and Tata amongst others.

In order to allow users to carry out multiple operations at once, the Micromax device has been embedded with a 1.2GHz processor and 512MB RAM. The sleek device drenched in shades of suave silver and brilliant black, flaunts a 17.78cm capacitive touchscreen and comes with 4GB onboard memory along with an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB. The company has also thrown in a 0.3MP VGA front facing camera and an HDMI connector to facilitate connections with big screen HDTVs and projectors.

With the launch of Funbook, we are offering a smart solution to solve this dilemma, and we believe that Funbook will help create a balance between the two,” stated Deepak Mehrotra, CEO, Micromax.

Pre-loaded with the E-learning app, this slab offers access to study material for various courses from GK Publishers, Univarsal Tutorials, Vidyalankar, Scholarshub and more. In addition to this, the device has been included with applications and games from BIGFlix, Indiagames and Zenga along with over 48 channels including MTV, Colors and UTV. Additionally, the EVDO data card from Tata Photon+ accompanies the tablet for an extra 1GB of download.

The Micromax Funbook price and availability details reveal that it is now out across India for Rs. 6,499.
