Beefed up Micromax Funbook Pro debuts in India via Snapdeal

Funbook Pro

Bearing a 10.1-inch display, the Micromax Funbook Pro has arrived in India exclusively through Snapdeal. And compared to the previous version which debuted back in April, this release sports an enhanced set of specifications proffering more integrated memory than its predecessor.

Riding on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the Micromax device draws steam from a Cortex A8 processor that is clocked at 1.2GHz. Accompanying the CPU is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage that’s expandable up to 32GB. The device is deployed with a 10.1-inch TFT capacitive multi-touch panel that delivers a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There is also a dual Mali 400 GPU which contributes to enhancing the quality of the displayed content.

“Today’s youth are tech savvy, but at the same time restless; they want to buy and experience new innovations that make their life easier but in a matter of a few clicks. Inspired by the huge response for 7-inchFunbook on Snapdeal, we are glad to continue this relationship with them for the new 10-inchFunbook Pro to provide a simpler way to the restless young heads for owning the device,” remarked Deepak Mehrotra, CEO, Micromax Informatics.

Even though the front-facing VGA camera doesn’t seem to provide much on the quality front, it can be employed to conduct video calls on the go. In order to view content on a larger screen, users can connect the device to an external monitor with the embedded HDMI port. The slate even supports 3G dongles through the integrated USB port, apart from Wi-Fi, for going online. Last in the spec list is a 5600mAh battery that powers up the slab.

The Micromax Funbook Pro price in India via Snapdeal is tagged at Rs. 9,999.
