7-inch Asus Eee Memo Pad arriving at CES 2012?

Asus Eee Memo Pad

With just about a week to go for the Consumer Electronic Show to begin, it is only natural to come across speculations about various products, the latest being the Asus Eee Memo Pad. This 7-inch Android based slab operates with the help of a 1.2GHz dual core processor.

According to Engadget, Notebook Italia came across rumors about this 7-inch tablet manufactured by Asus. Though the device in question is said to be a Google Android based slab, there is no word on whether it will gorge on the Honeycomb platform or treat users to the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. This Memo Pad will acquire its multitasking properties from a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Outfitted with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch screen, the slate claims to render visuals in 1280 x 800p resolution. It will be made available in variants with internal storage memory ranging from 16GB to 64GB. And needless to say, the tablet will let users access the web wirelessly with the assistance of its Wi-Fi capabilities, while the built-in 3G should ensure faster performance.

Apparently, the web is also abuzz with gossip about the release of a smaller version of the 10.1-inch Eee Pad Transformer Prime. This Honeycomb slate is one of the first few tabs to be deployed with the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The Memo Pad will supposedly be accompanied by the 7-inch Transformer Prime at the CES.

We could only lay our hands on so much information about the 7-inch Asus Eee Memo Pad, as of now. Although the device will appear at the CES 2012, it will most probably only hit markets in Asia, later this year.
