The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet, which went up for pre-order last week, is slated to start shipping next month through Gamestop. The multitasking Honeycomb based device is deployed with a quad-core processor and will be upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich.

The news about the device’s shipping date comes our way through Ubergizmo. The 32GB slab is also being offered in a bundle with the Tablet Wireless Bluetooth controller along with digital games like Riptide GP, Sonic CD, Dead Space, Cordy, Monster Madness and Re-Load. Its front panel is dominated by a 10.1-inch LED backlit capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla glass of 1280 x 800 resolutions.

The tablet computer weighing 586 grams, measures 263 x 180.8 x 8.3 millimeters. Its rear-facing 8MP snapper featuring autofocus and a large F2.4 aperture records HD videos, while the front-facing 1.2MP webcam facilitates video conferencing. The GPS certified device comes with E-compass, Light Sensor, G-Sensor and Gyroscope. Fueled by the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, it provides a long power life of about 12 hours with the help of its Li-polymer battery.

It can be connected to HDTVs through the HDMI connector and to audio peripherals via the audio jack. It also sports a microSD card reader in addition to microUSB 2.0 port. The dockable device offers connectivity options inclusive of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Besides a high quality microphone, the multimedia ready slab is equipped with stereo speakers.

Priced at $499.99 (approx. Rs. 25,960), the 32GB Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet is currently expected to start shipping on December 9. The Bundle comprising the 32GB variant of the tablet and the Wireless Bluetooth controller carries a price tag of $539.98 (approx. Rs. 28,045).
