But, what’s for certain is that the handset will run on the upcoming Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Since the smartphone is stated to be a pure Google handset, the OS will feature no modification, which means no TouchWiz UI.

Additionally, the device is presumed to sport a 5MP rear-facing primary camera that captures video in 1080p full HD, 1.3MP on its front, 4G LTE/HSPA data connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n and a 1,750mAh battery, all enclosed within the 9mm thin body.

The guys over at GSM Arena have a different side of the story. Based on their findings, the device will host a 1.5GHz Exynos CPU compliment by a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. Further on, in place of the 5MP camera and the 1,750mAh battery, the handset is suggested to hold an 8MP rear camera and a 2,050mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone is anticipated to receive official word on October 11 as both companies Google and Samsung have sent out invites for the event but, havn’t specify its main purpose.
