Philips to launch V808 Android phone?

Philips V808 Handset

The latest rumors on the Internet speak of Philips’ first ever Android powered handset. According to Engadget, this handset is termed as the Philips V808. At present only the images of this phone have emerged.

The complete specifications of this phone are still under wraps but the V808 surely looks like an Android device. It features a glossy 3.2-inch HVGA display. Reportedly, the phone will incorporate a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording. Apparently, the device measures 115mm x 61mm x 14mm and flaunts a long battery life.

We are still unsure if this phone will include built-in support for GPS, 3G and Bluetooth. Reportedly, the phone is expected to be an addition to the Xenium series. As the phone is not powered in any of the images, we cannot specifically say that the phone is an Android device. Philips has refrained from commenting on any of these rumors.

There is still no official word on the pricing and availability of the Philips V808.
