Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D camera coming soon?

Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D Fujifilm’s FinePix Real 3D camera are expected to make an appearance in the US and Europe this September, reports Slashgear. Reportedly, this 10 megapixel camera will cost almost double the price of the normal 2D cameras.

This camera uses two lenses that are placed at a distance from each other. The distance between these two lenses is roughly equal to the distance between human eyes. The two lenses simultaneously capture two frames and combine them to create a 3D image. The captured images can be viewed on special hardware platforms.

The company plans to launch a 3D enabled digital photoframe along with this camera. However, it refrains from quoting a price for this frame. The prints of these photos will use a lenticular layer on top of the basic image to provide the 3D effect. Reportedly, the company speculates that if the pricing exceeds a marginal cost of $5 per photo the frame may not sell at all.

Apparently, the 3D camera will be made available for a price of $600 (approx. Rs. 29,140).
