The already overcrowded PMP market will now see a new occupant. This new iLuv creation is called the i1166. The device is said to be a portable player. It claims to be the perfect travel entertainment solution with its highlighting feature being compatibility with the iPod and DVD/DivX.
The i1166 features a 9-inch TFT LCD display that allows users to play video content. The easy to use graphical interface of the player enables users to effectively control the iPod. The player also doubles as a charging dock for the iPod when connected to a power source via an AC adapter. This PMP offers compatibility with Pod touch second generation, iPod nano fifth generation, iPod nano fourth generation, iPod touch, iPod nano third generation, and iPod classic.

Measuring 11†x 6.1†x 1.9â€, the i1166 flaunts two standard 3.5mm headphone jacks. Apart from the iPod and DVD/DivX, this iLuv player also supports SD/MMC memory card and USB flash drives. The iLuv i1166 can be powered by three power sources including AC adapter, DC adapter as well as a built-in Li-Polymer rechargeable battery.
Boasting of its varying advanced features, the iLuv i1166 portable media player for iPod and DVD/DivX is expected to be made available starting mid-October. The player will retail for around $269.99 (approx. Rs. 18,975).
