Leaked Details of Creative ZEN X-Fi Player

Creative ZEN X-Fi Player

Creative’s ZEN X-Fi Player – the first Wi-Fi player from the company is apparently in the developing stage. From epiZENter.net, few details and picture of the media player have been leaked.

Shining in an aluminum-and-chrome finish, the wireless ZEN X-Fi player is possibly equipped with a unique nine-point directional pad, allowing users to chat on an instant messaging functionality that is compatible with Windows Live, GTalk or Yahoo Messenger. The Creative ZEN X-Fi player apparently does not come pre-installed with QWERTY keyboard nor has a touch-screen interface. You type messages by taking advantage of a numeric pad and phone-style system.

The portable media player is also expected to comes loaded with X-Fi audio technology that would enable consumers to restore lost detail in MP3s and other compressed files. Moreover, the X-Fi employs an integrated speakers, headphones 2.5-inch screen, FM tuner, video recorder, microSD slot, X-Fi Crystalizer to restore details that may have been lost during the compression, and X-Fi Expand to move sound from the ear to somewhere in front of you simulating the real experience in listening to music.

It supports MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and Audible as well as WMA video, MPEG4, DivX and MJPEG file formats. Owners can enjoy 36 hours of audio playback, 5 hours of video.

However, not all the ZEN X-Fi players will incorporate Wi-Fi features.

The company hasn’t officially announced the price and availability of the Creative ZEN X-Fi Player.
