Marking a blend of portability and auditory leisure, the Satechi Audio Move SD has been unveiled by the company and is now available for purchase. Although the device is noted to be a speaker, it is designed to function as a portable music player as well with a slot for microSD card and a USB port.
Measuring 8 x 8 x 16 inches, the device weighs approximately .47oz and is small enough to fit in the pocket, or even in bags and jackets. Apart from a microSD card and USB slot, the device also sports a 3.5mm input option. The external memory for this speaker can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSDHC card, which should ideally store almost 600 albums.
Dressed in black and white, the device can be placed either in a sleeping or side standing position. The functions are kept running with an embedded rechargeable lithium polymer battery. It provides a play time of approximately 17 hours via memory card slot or 24 hours through line-in of playtime per charge. It can even be juiced by means of a USB with the PC or a 5V USB power adapter using a plug.
Integrated with two stereo speakers, the configuration is said to deliver good quality sound. The system is compatible with almost any digital player as well as Android or Apple smartphones, iPads, and more. Also, the chassis sports buttons to control operations like play – pause, next – previous track, volume up – down, and repeat – shuffle.
