The iPhone and iPad along with other portable devices may soon see a musical companion arrive in the form of the Zooka Bluetooth speaker bar. This piece of hardware connects wirelessly to various gadgets via Bluetooth for delivering quality sound.

The speaker incorporates 2 firing drivers on either side that are expected to blare out with decent stereo acoustics. Considering that many users are not completely satisfied with the onboard speakers, this peripheral could boost the aural experience while accessing their devices. Additionally, the bar features a 3.5mm audio input to provide music exposure even in the absence of Bluetooth.

“Zooka was created with portability and stellar sound in mind. It combines the ultimate freedom of wireless high-quality sound with simple, inventive design. The entrepreneurial team that created the mobile speaker brings together years of experience in audio and product design. Zooka, the first product they developed on their own, has been self-funded until now,” commented Patrick Triato, who contributed to Zooka’s development.

The accessory has been crafted with durable silicone that can simply be glided over and away from the tablet or smartphone in question without leaving inadvertent bruises on the exterior. With lithium-ion batteries duly powering the speaker, music streaming can linger up to 8 hours along with accessing digital and web content.

Moreover, the audio gear will not cover the camera lens on any device, thanks to the cutout groove incorporated into the profile. Apart from serving as an accomplice to iDevices, it should provide an ergonomic grip to make portability a breeze. The bar is available in distinct colors of grey, green, orange, brown, blue and black.

The Zooka Bluetooth speaker bar price tag reads at $99 (approx. Rs. 4,905) and its production is slated to begin by March 1. Audiences can expect the offering to arrive anytime in summer 2012. This initiative is part of the Kickstarter project, where users can pledge up to $89 (approx. Rs.4,409) to lay hands on the device via kickstarter.com. Those pledging at least $149 (approx. Rs.7,381) will be entitled to the glow-in-dark version of the same.
