Extended and smarter iPod Nano Touch concept unleashed

iPod Nano Touch Concept 01

What seems like an intermediary PMP between the iPod nano and the iPod touch, is designer Enrico Penello’s iPod nano touch concept. It not only claims to be extended, but also smarter as it boasts of some ‘sought-after’ features.

To begin with, the designer has bestowed the concept with a longer form factor and most features commonly found in Apple products have also been retained. Similar to iOS devices such as the iPhone and the iPad, this sketched out media player is equipped with a front facing camera that supports FaceTime calls, allowing users to keep in touch with their loved ones.

“This concept shows a bigger clip on the back side, a lower black part containing the WiFi antenna, central home button, side volume buttons and on/off top button, making this device really close to our everyday iPhone,” quoted designer, Enrico Penello.

According to a post on Yanko Design, the device will be compatible with Wi-Fi, thus ensuring wireless internet access on the move. Fitness buffs may just prefer this one over others of its ilk, considering that it has been included with the capability to make notes of Nike+ exercise results. And besides informing users about the weather status, it can also be expected to support a wide range of applications such as time, music, images, podcasts and radio amongst others.

Hopefully, Apple may take a liking to this extended and smarter iPod nano touch concept. But we’re not betting anything on the idea that it will hit the markets in the near future.
