Tangle-free Octopus Earbuds for better cord-management

Not many will deny that tangling wires are one of the most bothersome aspects of headphones, but designer Donghee Suh has apparently cracked the code to find a solution for this problem with the Octopus Earbuds. As the name suggests, these earbuds have been inspired by suction cups on Octopus’ tentacles.

In order to eliminate the hassle of untangling cords to use the headset, this Octopus inspired audio gear has been deployed with silicon flaps. These flaps facilitate storing earbuds when not in use by retracting to act as suction cups. The key highlight of these suction cups is that they let users wrap the wires around their device and affix earbuds onto the screen of the gadget. As Yanko Design points out, it highly assists users by taking care of the cord-management issues.

Another advantage of this concept is that headphones can be carried easily in backpacks and purses. This is mainly because of the silicon flaps which ensure that wires are fastened neatly to the device. Also, this suction mechanism is designed in a manner so as to not interfere while users are enjoying their music. Pulling these cups in and out should not be a tedious task either and it smartly rests on earbuds when it is not glued to the device.

The concept of Octopus Earbuds seems pretty feasible considering that the idea of securing the wire on the device comes across as a practical one. Presumably, a lot of users would want this concept to be materialized as it does sound like something that will provide a permanent relief from the problem.
