Toshiba has announced the availability of the latest addition to their Gigabeat line-up of multimedia players, dubbed T401 and T401S, in the Japanese market.
The sleek and portable multimedia player features a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 display screen with 260k colors, up to 4GB of flash memory and plays WMV video, MP3 and WMA files. The latest Gigabeat T401 is compatible with Windows Media Player 10/11.
The T401 also sports 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity along with the company’s latest H2C audio processing technology. It offers a battery life that lasts up to 16 hours for music and 5 hours for video. To charge the battery, the owner needs to hook up the player to the computer through USB.
The T401S comes bundled with the same features as the T401 except for Wi-Fi connectivity. T401S doesn’t deliver wireless connectivity.
Toshiba Gigabeat T401 will be available from 5th October for ¥29,800 (approx. Rs. 10,400). The T401S will hit stores on 7th September for ¥24,800 (approx. Rs. 8,600). Both the PMPs come in three different colors, namely red, black and white.
