iRiver has unveiled a new MP3 player, which has a Mickey mouse design. The MP3 player is a small round ball and two ear-like balls attached on the top. The ears acts as knobs where the right ear handles track selections and the left ear controls volume.
At 3cm tall, the player carries 1GB memory and comes in black, white, blue, pink and silver colors.
The player has an on-off button on one side of the body and a small LED lamp on the other side. The LED glows green if switched on and red when switched off.
“iRiver licensed the Mickey design from Disney for just Hong Kong and South Korea, so initially the player will be available in only those markets,” said William Cho, overseas marketing director for Reigncom.
The Mickey Mouse-shaped MP3 player will be available at Disneyland, Hong Kong. The company plans to expand the license to cover other markets if this device sells well.
If rumors are to believed, the price will be around $50 (approx. Rs.2000).
