LG Electronics has launched its cell phones that support HSDPA technology, namely LG-KH1400 and LG-SH130. The HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) is a wireless data connection, which is being deployed on wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) network.
The LG HSDPA Handsets were demonstrated at the SEK exhibition in Seoul.
The KG-SH130, a slider model, brings fast data and global roaming, which is a new concept to S. Korea.
The LG-KH1400 delivers HSDPA networking with reception of digital mobile television. The display of the phone can be twisted into a horizontal direction to view TV programs. A video output socket is also provided for bigger picture. The handset comes with a 2 megapixel camera.
With this, the company aims to boost sales of their higher end mobile phones featuring the latest technologies in South Korea.
