The DPI E-Vision WUXGA-8000 is the latest projector to join the E-series lineup and made its first appearance at the ISE 2012. This affordable computer peripheral boasts of features like image warp and blend, color wheels and lens memory amongst a horde of others.

The projector claims to be apt for most commercial applications due to its capabilities of producing images with improved brightness. As the name suggests, the WUXGA-8000 delivers up to 8000 lumens and is deployed with Texas Instrument’s 1920 x 1200 dark metal DLP technology that should reproduce enhanced pictures in high resolution. The lightweight device tips the scale at close to 5.3lbs and the noiseless operation makes it suitable for conference rooms, auditoriums, lecture halls, boardrooms, Houses of Worships and more. And if that’s not all, this latest peripheral is also integrated with dual lamps.

Successors to the E-Vision WXGA 7000 displays released at the InfoComm 2011, the latest entrant is said to add to users’ choices to select projectors that suit their needs based on capabilities, resolution or prices. With the assistance of a number of fixed and zoom lenses utilized in the WUXGA-8000, it can render throw ratio range between 0.76:1 and 8.26:1. It is accompanied by two interchangeable color wheels, thus customers can choose the appropriate one to achieve the desired balance of lumens as well as color depth according to the application and ambient lighting conditions.

The DPI E-Vision WUXGA-8000 price is tagged at $17,999 (approx. Rs. 8,83,625) and it comes packaged along with the lens. It was exhibited at the ISE 2012 in Amsterdam from January 30 to February 2.
