Epson PowerLite 93+ projector deemed suitable for classroom settings

In an attempt to replace its predecessor, the Epson PowerLite 93+ is expected to bring in more features and functionality upon its arrival. The company conveys the device to be suitable for K-12 classrooms with its much brighter projection attributes as compared to the PowerLite 93, which is currently available in market.

The PowerLite 93+ is said to deliver up to 2,600 lumens of color as well as white light output, which is about 200 lumens more in comparison with its forerunner. Embedded with a 16-watt speaker and various connectivity features, the Epson projector displays images with XGA resolution.

“Bright projectors are in high demand for classrooms with a lot of ambient light, and they help to improve learning environments for students,” commented Heather Litus Johnston, product manager, K-12 Education Marketing at Epson America. “The PowerLite 93+ is not only incredibly bright, it comes equipped with a wide range of features at an affordable price, demonstrating Epson’s dedication to providing flexible and robust classroom solutions.”

The RJ-45 wired LAN connectivity option lets users employ a virtual remote control through a web browser, as opposed to the projector’s remote control. Adjustment settings for projection allow 1.2x optical zoom as well as +30 degree horizontal and automatic vertical keystone correction. The included E-TORL lamp technology assures lamp life of up to 6,000 hours if used in economy mode.

The Epson PowerLite 93+ price is revealed to be $699 (approx. Rs. 34,980). Though the precise release date has not been disclosed yet, it is expected to be available with national resellers, pro audio/visual dealers, and through other retailers by March 2012.
