The latest hard drive on the block comes integrated with two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port which claim to deliver fast performance and versatile connections of 7200rpm on a 500GB Mac and 5400rpm on a 1TB version. It is accompanied by the Iomega Drop Guard Case which protects the drive from drops up to 7 feet.
Measuring 134.6mm x 89.6mm x 19.3mm, this sleek device does not need any external power supply and includes the Iomega Protection Suite along with the Mac Edition software featuring antivirus and backup. It is equipped with 256-Bit AES Encrypted Storage Controller and offers a USB data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbits/s. The data transfer rate provided by the Iomega eGo for FireWire 800 is up to 800 Mbits/s.
Weighing 240g, this hard drive is compatible with computers running Mac OS X 10.5 – 10.7 or higher. The Mac’s operating system must possess 128MB RAM or more and feature a Mac PowerPC G3 or an Intel Core Duo processor.
