The company introduces the Sonos Controller CR200 that makes playing music simpler with its ultra-responsive 3.5-inch full color VGA touchscreen display.

With a view to offer its users a fast, fun and effortless music experience, the company has flawlessly incorporated the hardware industrial design to blend with the software and its user interface. Along with an effortless search of music library, users can also attain rapid access to multi-million song jukeboxes including Napster and Rhapsody as well as more than 25,000 radio stations and podcasts and Sirius Internet Radio. Also, custom creation of radio stations is simplified with the Last.fm and Pandora services.

The intuitive interface not only offers rich graphics but at the same time also provides artist information, cover art and much more. For comfortable handling, the controller is embedded with an anodized precision machined extruded aluminum case and a soft durable backing. It comes with a Sonos Charging Cradle 200 that allows anytime charging of the device.

Furthermore, the controller also comprises of an easy set up, instant on and dedicated mute, volume and zone buttons. It provides rapid results of the song along with superior wireless performance and easy zone management. Packaged with a multi-room volume feature it also includes a transflective screen that offers excellent outdoor usage. It allows five days of usage between charges and can be easily replaced with the high-capacity lithium ion battery. Also, the controller is compatible with all existing and previously purchased Sonos multi-room music system hardware.

In addition to this, the company also confirmed the launch of Sonos Software 3.0, a one-button software update. When used with the Sonos CR200, it delivers a range of new music discovery functions. Users can get one-touch access to music information such as artist bios, album reviews, concert listings and list of similar artists. It is compatible with the Mac OS 10.4, Windows XP and Windows 7 and iPhone OS 3.0 operating systems.

The Sonos Controller 200 including the Sonos Charging Cradle 200 is available at a price of $349(approx. Rs. 16,888). The novel Controller will also be available as part of the new Sonos Bundle 250 which is priced at $999(approx. Rs.48, 255).
