LG intros LCD and LED HDTV series

LG SL90 Series LED HDTV

LG is all set to introduce the SL80 LCD series and the SL90 series of LED HDTVs, in USA. Both these series incorporate a single edge-to-edge panel of glass over a slim bezel.

These sophisticated looking HDTVs are sure to turn heads no matter where they are placed. The invisible speaker design further enhances the looks of these HDTVs. The series also comes equipped with the latest picture technology and energy saving features like the Intelligent Sensor, which automatically adjusts the TV’s picture to the surrounding lighting conditions.

“Consumers are looking for stylish technology that fits seamlessly into their existing home environment, without sacrificing the advanced technology they’ve grown accustomed to. With the SL80 and SL90, LG has combined the best of design and display technology – transforming the home entertainment experience from something ordinary into something better,” said Peter Reiner, senior vice president, marketing and strategy, LG Electronics USA, Inc.

The SL80 series includes the slim CCFL technology with TruMotion 240Hz. The TruMotion assists the series in achieving its thin profile and superior picture quality. The SL80 series measures less than 1.8-inches in thickness. The SL90’s LED display technology promises to provide enhanced picture quality as well as energy efficiency.

The SL80 and SL90 provide users with LG’s four Core Technologies that include AV mode II, Invisible speaker system, Picture Wizard and Clear Voice II. The SL80 series complies with the Energy Star 3.0 ratings.

The SL80 will be available from August and will be priced according to their sizes. The 42-, 47-, and 55-inch HDTVs will be priced at $1,599.95 (approx. Rs. 77,060), $1,899.95 (approx. Rs. 91,509) and $2,799.95 (approx. Rs. 1,34,856) respectively. The SL90 series will be released later this year in 42- and 47-inch sizes. The pricing for this series is still under wraps.
