New line-up of Webcams unfurled by Logitech

Users now have a webcam to suit to their every need. Logitech introduced seven new webcams following their recent announcement of Logitech Vid. The new range of webcams that complete the Logitech family include the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, Logitech Portable Webcam C905, Logitech Webcam C600, Logitech Webcam C500, Logitech Webcam C300, Logitech Webcam C250 and the Logitech Webcam C200.

These webcams are divided into 3 categories namely premium, mid-range and basic. Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and Logitech Portable Webcam C905 incorporate Ziess optics with autofocus. This enables users to enjoy razor-sharp images in extreme close-ups. They have a 2-megapixel HD sensor that enables true-to-life video up to 720p and snapshots up to 8 mega pixels. Logitech RightLight 2 technology adjusts to produce clear images even in dim lighting conditions. They also have Video Effects where users can personalize their conversations by choosing from various avatars. While the Webcam Pro 9000 offers all the features users need on the go, the Portable Webcam C905 features an easy-to-transport design. It allows users to make a video call where ever they are.

The Logitech Webcam C600 boasts of fluid HD-quality video and 8 mega pixel snapshots courtesy its 2 mega pixel sensor and glass lens. Users can capture HD video that is TV-quality resolution. The Logitech Webcam C500 has a glass lens and 1.3 mega pixel sensors for sharper images and fluid video. It has a 5 mega pixel camera that helps users capture high-resolution pictures.
The Logitech Webcam C300, Logitech Webcam C250 and Logitech Webcam C200 fall under the basic webcam category. Logitech Webcam C300 is ideal for a rich video calling experience. It gives up to 5 mega pixel photo capture. Logitech Video Effects Fun Fillers allows users to add neon splashes and fish-eye distortions.

The Logitech Webcam C250 and C200 feature a VGA sensor, the ability to take pictures at up to 1.3 mega pixels and Logitech Video Effects Fun Fillers. The newest webcams include a built-in microphone with Logitech RightSound for clear, conversations without background noise.

The Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, Logitech Webcam C600, Logitech Webcam C500, Logitech WebcamC300, Logitech Webcam C250 and Logitech Webcam C200 can be attached to LCD monitors and notebooks. The Portable Webcam C905 can attach to notebooks or a shelf or desk. It also comes with a carrying case.

The Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and the Logitech Portable Webcam C905 are priced at $99.99 (approx Rs.4,829), Logitech Webcam C600 is priced at $79.99 (approx Rs.3,862), Logitech Webcam C500 and C300 are priced at $49.99 (approx Rs.2,413), Logitech Webcam C250 is priced at $39.99 (approx Rs.1,931) and Logitech Webcam C200 is priced at $29.99 (approx Rs.1,448). They are expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe from August, 2009.
