Altec Lansing 906 and 903 Headphones Altec Lansing introduces new Backbeat 906 and 903 Stereo Bluetooth headphones, displayed at the Macworld Expo and will also be showcased at the CES 2009. These are the first ever wearable stereo Bluetooth headphones by the company. The BackBeat 906 includes a stereo Bluetooth 2.0 adapter while the BackBeat 903 comes only with headphones.

The BackBeat headphones are designed for active lifestyles, you can listen to wireless stereo music and answer calls with the flexible, lightweight headphone that can be worn behind the ear.

The BackBeat headphones are a combination of audio and voice technologies from Altec Lansing and Plantronics. It offers OpenMic technology, a remarkable feature that lets the user instantly hear the surrounding noise even without taking off the headphones.

The headphones deliver excellent audio experience and with the BassBoost technology, the speaker output is enhanced even in low frequency ranges. The Plantronics Dual-Mic AudioIQ technology separates voice from noise while the dual-microphones isolate voice signals. Its comfortable in-ear design comes with contoured, soft silicone tips which rest in the curve of your ear.

They integrate Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and support hands-free, headset, A2DP and AVRC. Weighing about 34 grams, the talk/music playback time is up to 7 hours and the standby time is up to 8 days.

The BackBeat 906 and BackBeat 903 headphones are retail priced at $129.95 (approx Rs. 6,302) and $99.95 (approx Rs. 4,847), respectively. They will be available during late February through select retailers and at Altec Lansing website.
