One more fitness gadget has been infused into the Indian market by Goqii with its launch of the Vital 3.0 costing Rs 3999, which boasts of the unique ability to detect body temperature. This feature comes at an important time, even as the COVID-19 crisis appears to be at its peak in India. The company believes the monitoring of one’s body temperature will help in early detection if the person is suffering from the dangerous disease.
Goqii has also said that it has partnered with a German health tech startup named Thryve to conduct a clinical study in India to detect COVID-19 infections earlier than testing. The Vital 3.0 detects body temperature either continuously in the background or on demand, according to the user’s wish. The temperature range is 77°F to 113°F with an accuracy of +/- 0.3°F, the company confirmed.
This Goqii offering’s other features include a colored display, the ability to show notifications for messages and calls as well as other apps like WhatsApp and Facebook, others. Moreover, you can also use it to monitor blood pressure, heart rate and sleep. There’s also an Exercise Mode on the band. Up to a week of battery of life is delivered by the product on a single complete charge.
