Motorola’s foldable Razr phone gets its Android 10 update India

The Motorola Razr started getting its Android 10 update in the US a few days back, and the OTA release has reached India now. The company has itself announced the arrival of this software package that comes loaded with new features, including major improvements to its second screen that’s also called the Quick View display.

Motorola says that the additional features have been introduced in response to customer feedback. The main trait that the Android 10 update adds is the ability to interact with notifications by using smart reply. Earlier, one could only view the notifications on the second screen, and had to open the foldable phone in order to reply to them.

With the update, Motorola Razr users can now reply with voice via Google Assistant or type any reply with a full keyboard. This major update also adds the ability to make voice and video calls using shortcuts, along with the facility to control music with an updated notification card design.

And that’s not all; Motorola has also blessed the Razr with support for Google Maps turn-by-turn directions. One certainly is forced to wonder why such features failed to make the cut when the phone was first released.

The Motorola Razr, of course, is a tribute to the eponymous feature phone that was released back in 2004. It hides a 6.2-inch foldable OLED screen on the inside, while a 2.7-inch tiny display can be seen on the outside. The phone runs on a Snapdragon 710 CPU and adopts a 2510mAh battery. It carries just one rear camera and one front camera.

The Motorola Razr can be purchased in India right now in exchange of Rs 1,24,999. It’s available through Flipkart and offline retail stores.
