Spice Stellar 519 is the company’s first 4G phone, available for Rs 8499

The Spice Stellar 519 smartphone has been officially launched in India and this device is being touted as a 4G-ready option. The phone is priced at Rs 8499, making it a very affordable pick, but it does have quite a lot of competition to face from local and global brands.

Xolo already has a few LTE phones under Rs 10000 and Microsoft’s Lumia 638 offers quick a good set of features at Rs 6799. Then there are the Sony Xperia E4g and the Motorola Moto E 4G handset which also have great offerings. The Spice Stellar 519 does have the advantage in multiple aspects. Firstly, it offers a generously sized display of 5 inches.

The resolution is just 854 x 480 pixels and we’ve seen better on devices with the same retail tag. Nevertheless, there’s also a 3.2MP front snapper and an 8MP shooter on the rear. Another key feature of the Spice phone is its processor which is a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 64-bit chipset with Adreno 306 graphics.
