Sony Xperia E4 dual smartphone launched in India at Rs 12490

Sony has officially brought the latest Xperia E4 dual smartphone to India and it plans to start selling the handset from today onwards with a price tag of Rs 12490. For the features being offered, that amount is quite a steep one and also a bit higher than what the device is retailing for across Europe.

The Sony Xperia E4 is basically an entry-level handset designed for basic Android usage. It offers features quite similar to what you’ll find on the new Motorola Moto E, but at almost doubt the cost. The phone has a 5-inch qHD IPS LCD touchscreen for visuals, fitted around a simple and minimalistic body.

There’s also a scratch-resistant glass coating to protect the screen and a 2MP HD camera on the front, while the rear has a 5MP shooter with 1080p video recording. What’s interesting is that the Sony handset was said to have Android 5.0 Lollipop at launch, but the product page now lists it with version 4.4 KitKat. Of course, an update to the new OS should be in the works.
