Samsung Galaxy A7 with 4G LTE launched in India for Rs 30499

The Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone has been officially launched in India making it the last of the premium lineup to go on sale. The handset is quite the expensive one through as it’s currently priced at Rs 30499 on the company’s own online eStore, but it could become available for a bit cheaper on other ecommerce websites.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 is the third member in the A series. It is also the beefiest and tallest of the three as it offers a 5.5-inch display and an octa core processor. Design-wise, the phone looks identical to its smaller siblings and it also flaunts the same full-metal build. The handset is even the slimmest release from the South Korean giant till date measuring just 6.3mm thick.

Samsung is touting the handset for social media and entertainment use. The processor used here is the 1.5GHz octa core Snapdragon 615 chip that’s coupled with Adreno 405 graphics. And since the handset is a premium release, it features a Super AMOLED touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The phone has Android 4.4 KitKat running the show and it will get Lollipop in the near future.

Additionally, the Galaxy A7 comes with proprietary software enhancements such as the Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Quick Connect, Themes support and Multi-Screen amongst others. The handset doesn’t offer dual SIM slots, but it has 4G LTE Cat.4 compatibility.
