Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova with 8MP rear camera is official for Rs 5999

The Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova smartphone has been given an official launch in India which is pretty rare for low-cost devices. And for the price you’ll be paying, the handset might just be worth the Rs 5999 tag as it comes with a decent set of features.

The main highlight of the Videocon Infinium Z50 Nova is that it aims to offer an enriched imaging experience. And it plans to do so through its 8MP rear snapper which comprises of a Sony Exmor R sensor for better low-light pictures and videos. Also, you’ll be able to record clips at 1080p FHD resolution which is a pretty nice features.

The phone is an entry-level release and it offers a generously sized 5-inch qHD IPS display on the front with a 2MP camera. The handset doesn’t impress that much in design and we certainly weren’t expecting it to and the innards are pretty much predictable as the device employs the standard set of hardware.

Videocon is probably offering a stock Android experience with the handset and you’ll be treated to preloaded apps as well, including Modern Combat 4, V-Safe, V-Secure, GT Racing 2 and Fun Zone. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and there’s an update to a ‘newer version of the OS’ in the works.
