One-time title-holder of the world’s thinnest smartphone, the Oppo R5 has landed in India finally with its price set at Rs 29990. This 4G LTE-capable device will be made available for pre-order by the company tomorrow, while its deliveries are expected to be commenced next week.
The main distinguishing factor of the Oppo R5 happens to be its extremely thin profile of 4.85mm which was recently beaten by the Vivo X5 Max with its 4.7mm thin body. While the former carries onboard a 5.2-inch display, the latter features a 5.5-inch panel.
The Oppo device runs on a 1.5GHz octa core Snapdragon 615 processor which is granted assistance in its operations by 2GB worth of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. Its components fit inside a 148.9mm x 74.5mm x 4.85mm form factor and manage to keep its weight down to 155gms.
