Panasonic P31 mid-range smartphone drops anchor in India for Rs 11,990

The Panasonic P31 phablet has been made available in India for Rs 11,990 and the device seems all set to take on the other handsets which fall in this price range. An assortment of proprietary applications has been pre-loaded into the smartphone and it makes the most of the new Play Life UI as well.

Available in shades of bluish black and pure white, the P31 brings Gesture Play for understanding gestures, Pop-i Player for multitasking while watching videos, Music Café for organizing music and Ultimate Saver for switching battery modes. And one of the key highlights of the phone is its ‘Heat-Sink’ design that keeps it from getting heated up.

The Panasonic smartphone employs a 1.3GHz quad core processor and 1GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and navigation, while the Android 4.2.2 OS is the bringer of an intuitive interface. Its 5-inch touchscreen featuring an ultra oleophobic coating can render visuals in 480 x 854p resolution. The display is accompanied by a VGA webcam as well as an 8MP snapper.

And what’s more, the gadget’s 4GB onboard memory can be expanded further by up to 32GB using a microSD card. It can support a couple of SIM card slots at the same time and has a number of connectivity options as well. A 2000mAh battery is present within the confines of the phone and manages to cough up the juice for talk time of about 13 hours (2G) or 9 hours (3G) at a stretch.
