Nokia Laser, a variant of the Lumia 920 may be arriving in the US via Verizon Wireless

Nokia Laser

A fresh set of rumors about a certain Nokia Laser have hit the scene and apparently the device will set foot in the US via Verizon Wireless. According to sources close to the service provider, it will be a high-end variant of the Lumia 920.

The Verge states that the Laser will make its debut along with Catwalk, another device that is believed to take inspiration from the flagship Lumia 920. The upcoming device will not only be marketed by the big red carrier, but will also be backed by Microsoft itself. While this network provider is currently selling Lumia 822 which is a version of the Lumia 820, it hasn’t picked up the Finnish manufacturer’s 920.

But this is not the only Nokia device that has been rumored to arrive with the Windows Phone platform in tow, only yesterday we came across reports suggesting the arrival of the Nokia EOS. This Microsoft-certified handset is said to be a hybrid between the OEM’s 808 PureView and Lumia phones. It is slated to be a part of the Lumia range, but will employ the imaging technology of the said Symbian-powered smartphone.

Further details regarding the phone in question should be revealed when the device is all set to be launched and as far as the EOS is concerned, we know that it will ditch the polycarbonate exterior to opt for an aluminum casing instead. The latter will most probably be picked up by AT&T in the US and will be available for purchase later this year.

The speculated handset is said to be similar to the Lumia 920, so it can be expected to toddle into the market with a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ touchscreen. An 8.7MP camera with PureView technology and Carl Zeiss optics may rest on the rear panel, while a secondary front-mounted webcam may be added to the mix for video conferencing purposes. A Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor ticking at 1.5GHz should be responsible for ensuring smooth multitasking and navigation at all times.
