The HTC Desire 600 may have entered India long back, but the device has been officially unveiled in the country only now for a price of Rs 26,990. Offering support to a couple of SIM cards at the same time, the HTC Desire phone seems to be capable of giving tough competition to all the quad core smartphones available in the subcontinent in the price-friendly category.
As the device has a quad core processor at its heart, prospective buyers can expect an improved performance and multitasking capabilities from the HTC Desire 600. This Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chip sprints at a speed of 1.2GHz and seeks assistance from a gigabyte of RAM in order to maintain smooth navigation at all times. And considering that it runs the Android Jelly Bean tweaked with Sense, the handset should provide an intuitive and responsive interface.
Outfitted with a 4.5-inch qHD multi-touch display, the HTC Desire 600 shows off a form factor with dimensions of 134.8 x 67 x 9.26 millimeters. It tips the scales at merely 130 grams and plays host to dual cameras for facilitating web conferencing, image capturing and video recording. A 1.6MP snapper with a BSI sensor rests on the front and an 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash calls the rear panel its home.
The total internal memory of the HTC Desire 600 is 8GB and in case it is not enough, you can insert a microSD card into the dedicated expansion slot to increase it by up to 64GB. Data can be transferred wirelessly to and from compatible gadgets using Bluetooth or NFC and Wi-Fi should ensure internet access through hotspots.
