HTC hasn’t officially announced the arrival of the One in India, but the device has landed in the country with a heavy price tag. According to some online retailers who have already assigned a product page to the device, its release date will be in the fourth week of May.
The HTC One is a reasonably priced high-end smartphone which offers an enhanced and relatively fast performance. The device been incorporated with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor capable of clocking in a maximum speed of 1.7GHz. Accompanying the chipset is 2GB of RAM which has been assigned the task of maintaining smooth navigation at all times.
Although the device’s 32GB memory cannot be expanded further, users have the option of saving their content to 25GB of Dropbox cloud storage. This smartphone treats itself to a generous helping of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS which works in tandem with the Sense UI. A 4.7-inch IPS Super LCD 3 multi-touch screen adorns the front side and concentrates on rendering clear HD visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolution. People interested in buying the phone need not worry about scrapes and scratches as a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 film is in place to keep them at bay.
One of the key highlights of the device is its rear-facing 4MP UltraPixel snapper which boasts of its ability to record movies in HD resolution. And if that’s not enough, it has a horde of other features like HDR, Zoe, a dedicated ImageChip, auto focus, LED flash, video and optical image stabilization and many more. The front side has the secondary 2.1MP webcam so customers can make conference calls over the internet.
All the other common things like the essential sensors, connectivity ports and wireless communication options can also be found in the handset. These include a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB port, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi amongst others. Integrated with Beats Audio technology, it is powered by a 2300mAh lithium-polymer battery and provides talk time of about 27 hours in the GSM mode.
The HTC One can now be pre-ordered through e-retailers like Saholic, Infibeam and Snapdeal and its price is said to be around Rs. 42,990.
