The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date has apparently been set for April this year and the device will make its much-anticipated debut on March 15. So, the successor to the flagship S3 will not be present at the MWC 2013 which is scheduled to be held in the last week of this month. It may be accompanied by an S Pen as well.
The Galaxy S4 unpacked event has not been confirmed as yet by the South Korean manufacturer, but the guys over at SamMobile who have successfully unearthed a number of rumors in the past, have got wind about the device in question’s debut details. While this website has managed to find out the unveiling date, the sources seem to be clueless about the event’s venue as of now. The invites for the same are likely to go out after the MWC, that is, in March first week.
If the grapevine is to be believed, interested users can lay their hands over the upcoming piece of hardware during the first week of April itself. It will travel to Europe and Asia during this month and will hit markets in regions like Australia, Africa and America in May or June. Additionally, its accessories like clear and flip covers, protective case, extra battery kit, wireless charger, HDTV adapter and more are slated to be made available sometime in mid-April.
Apparently, the smartphone will come drenched in shades of black and white. Its front panel is likely to be dominated by a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED full HD multi-touch display. Its 2MP front-mounted webcam should be capable of recording videos in 720p HD resolution, while a rear-facing 13MP camera may record high definition 1080p movies at the rate of 30 frames per second.
And that’s not all. The next-generation S smartphone will operate with the assistance of the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean platform and may receive the version 5.0 OTA upgrade in the future. An Exynos 5 Octa 8 core processor is responsible for maintaining smooth multitasking, while the Mali-T658 GPU will ensure improved graphics.
There hasn’t been an official announcement to confirm the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S4 as yet.
