The LG Optimus G Pro that was unveiled in February this year has arrived in India and is especially aimed at users who are looking for a phablet packed with a horde of advanced features. Its price details for the country have also come to the fore and the LG handset will be made available for Rs 42,500 pretty soon.
Packed into an exterior measuring 5.91 x 3 x 0.37 inches, the device that tips the scales at a little less than 175 grams plays host to a 5.5-inch multi-touch display. The IPS screen claims to reproduce clear and detailed visuals at 1920 x 1080p resolution and has a pixel density of 400ppi. A huge phablet will definitely need a powerful processor to supervise its internal working and that is why the company has deployed a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset into the LG Optimus G Pro.
This 1.7GHz chip works in tandem with 2 gigabytes of RAM to extend support to a couple of applications at the same time. Speaking of memory, the device has a lot of it, what with 32GB of space within the gadget, apart from an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 64GB capacity. The LG Optimus G Pro not only makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS, but also employs the South Korean OEM’s very own user interface.
Casual photographers will be glad to know that the phone comes armed with dual cameras. A 2.1MP webcam graces the front panel of the LG Optimus G Pro, whereas its flip side houses a 13MP snapper with features like auto focus, LED flash, panorama, cheese shutter, dual recording, tracking focus and much more. Additionally, it has also been integrated with a 3,140mAh battery for keeping it powered up for talk time of around 15 hours and 30 minutes on a single charge.
