Verizon Motorola Droid Razr M price slashed for holidays

The Motorola Droid Razr M, the device that proudly flaunts its edge-to-edge display, went up for sale for a discounted price of under $50 through Verizon Wireless, as part of its holiday deals. It was first unveiled in September this year and carried a tag that read $99.99.

Android Authority spotted this sale on the carrier’s official website and confirmed that users who purchase this piece of hardware will have to sign on the dotted line of a customer agreement and commit for two years. Besides this, it also requires a Share Everything data plan which starts at $40 per month.

The 4G LTE-enabled device can even be picked up in a Motorola Bundle available via the big red carrier. Measuring 4.82 x 2.39 x 0.33 inches, it easily accommodates a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD touchscreen of 960 x 540p resolution. Moreover, this display has a Corning Gorilla Glass film to keep scrapes and scratches at bay.

Furthermore, the Motorola phone is reinforced with Kevlar fiber and a water-repellant nanocoating for durability and for withstanding spills and splashes. A successor to the likes of Droid Razr and Razr Maxx, it can provide usage time of approximately 20 hours and standby time of close to 17 days on a single charge, thanks to the integrated non-removable 2000mAh lithium-ion battery.

The internal system of the Droid Razr M operates with the assistance of a dual core processor that ticks at 1.5GHz as well as 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM. It treats itself to a generous helping of the Jelly Bean 4.1 platform and the Android 4.2 update may also be on the way for this stylish smartphone. Needless to say, it offers access to the Google Play store and tags along multiple Google Mobile services.

Featuring a virtual keyboard with Swype, this handset can be used for entertainment purposes as it supports audio and video formats like MP3, MPEG4, AAC, AAC+, AMR, MIDI and many more. And as far as the cameras are concerned, there’s a 0.3MP front-facing webcam and an 8MP primary snapper on the flip side.
