While portability is becoming the most sought after things by tech-imbued users across the world, the Asus PadFone comes across as a device that may be considered as the perfect mobile companion by many. A combination of three devices, it can be used as a smartphone, a tablet as well as a notebook with a little assistance from the PadFone Station and PadFone Station dock.

The phone is adorned by a Super AMOLED qHD display, offering a multi-touch real estate spanning 4.3 inches. The multitasking functionality of the phone can be attributed to the latest dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, clocking in a speed of 1.5GHz. It ships with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform. The device is also armed with an 8MP camera featuring the Fuji image processor to enhance the quality of images captured by it.

“The time has finally arrived when every screen in your lives could transcend into a portal with real time access into your digital world,” quoted Jonney Shih, Chairman of Asus while launching the PadFone at the MWC in Barcelona, Spain.

The PadFone Station is capable of providing a 10.1-inch screen and augmenting the power life by up to 5 times. The Dynamic Display technology utilized in the device makes for a decent transition to the tablet screen. The Station comes with a keyboard dock to transform the phone into a portable notebook. Additionally, the PadFone Stylus Headset serves the purpose of a stylus as well as headphones to answer phone calls.
