The latest lineup of tablets by a certain Korean manufacturer is not limited to the Tab 2, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also forms a part of the company’s 2012 portfolio. The sleek 4G LTE device was introduced at the CES held earlier this year and is now available exclusively through Verizon Wireless.

This tablet sports a Super AMOLED Plus multi-touch display of 1280 x 800p resolutions, spanning 7.7 inches. It binges on the Android Honeycomb (3.2) platform, while acquiring multitasking properties from the 1.4GHz dual core processor. The HTML5 web browser teams up with the 4G LTE network of the service provider to offer faster and enhanced internet browsing capabilities. It can also act as a mobile hotspot to share the 4G LTE network with up to 10 mobile devices.

The 7.7 slate comes with 16GB onboard memory along with an expansion slot that extends support to a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity. Armed with dual cameras, the primary 3.2MP snapper features LED flash and 720p video recording, whereas the 2MP front facing webcam can be utilized for video calling purposes. The HDMI enabled slab is loaded with the Peel Smart Remote function to remotely control the home entertainment system.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 boasts of the Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) certification which is inclusive of attributes like on-device Encryption, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Virtual Private Network (VPN) and push synchronization for mails, contacts and more. The Business ready tablet is pre-installed with applications like QuickOffice Pro HD and can be used in conjunction with a keyboard dock for added input flexibility.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 price and availability have been announced. It will be up for grabs starting today via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and the carrier’s official website for $499.99 (approx. Rs. 24,580). The Tab requires a two-year customer agreement along with a data package starting at $30 per month.
