A new PC peripheral in the form of the Roccat Savu mid-size hybrid gaming mouse recently made its debut. Developed by Roccat Studios, it is capable of delivering true 400, 800, 1600 and 4000 dpi owning to the integrated advanced Pro Optic sensor.
This new mouse is touted to be the first of its kind to feature a stats and trophy system dubbed the Roccat Achievements Display aka R.A.D. Sporting an ergonomic right hand thumb rest and soft-touch surface, it also comes equipped with Easy-Shift[+] technology. The device apparently boasts of advanced Omron switches that claim to provide consistent and precise pressure points for a better gaming experience.

The medium-sized gaming accessory is incorporated with the new R3 sensor, which enables lag-free gaming sans any interpolation as well as offers accurate feedback during fast movements. Adding to the whole gaming ambience is the embedded large, customizable rear light bar that can be set in any color opted from among the 16.8 million hues.
Additionally, the Roccat Savu device can easily transform into a 12-button mouse from a seven-button one using the Easy-Shift[+] technology. This inclusion also puts forth the Easy-Aim feature, which helps in automatically decreasing the dpi setting when in sniper mode.
The Roccat Savu price and availability details are not yet known. However, it is scheduled to hit retail store shelves by May.
