HTC Titan II to hit AT&T on April 8, priced under $200

Windows Phone platform fans may be delighted to hear that April 8 will not only mark the debut of the Nokia Lumia 900, but also the much anticipated HTC Titan II. Both smartphones are said to be among the first devices powered by the Microsoft’s mobile OS to offer compliance to the 4G LTE network speed.

Apparently, CNET has received an official confirmation from AT&T regarding the impending release of the HTC handset. The phone flaunts a WVGA 800 x 480p Super-LCD capacitive display offering a multi-touch real estate of 4.7 inches. It acquires multitasking properties from the 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor and its 1730mAh battery claims to provide power life of about 11 hours.

The successor to the previously released HTC Titan, the Titan II is embedded with a 16MP camera, which can be launched via a dedicated button on the device. This primary snapper boasts of attributes like dual LED flash, autofocus, 720p video recording and more. Additionally, the front panel has been dotted with a 1.3MP webcam which can record videos too.

The Lumia 900 that’s hitting AT&T store shelves on April 8 with the Titan II, is fitted with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display and runs the Windows Phone 7.5 OS. It will initially be made available in cyan blue and matte black, while its glossy white version will be released on April 22.

The AT&T HTC Titan II release date and price have been revealed already. It will be up for grabs for a price close to $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,180) starting April 8. Needless to say, users will be required to sign a contract.
