ZTE Grand X to hit the UK via Virgin Media

A week ago, the ZTE Kis hit the streets in the UK via Virgin Media and now the manufacturer is already gearing up to launch the ZTE Grand X across the country. Potential buyers will be able to pick up the smartphone by August via Phones 4u and Virgin Media retail outlets on contract basis with applicable data plans.

At the heart of this ZTE handset is the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor that is clocked at 1GHz. Accompanying the CPU is the 512MB RAM, the combination of which should help deliver a smooth multitasking experience. Built around the dimensions of 127 x 64.6 x 9.9 millimeters, the ZTE Grand X wears a 4.3-inch 960 x 540p capacitive touchscreen that decorates its front panel. Its 0.3MP front facing camera facilitates video calling, while the 5MP sensor embedded on the flip side tags along AF and flash attributes.

For hoarding purposes, users can utilize the 4GB onboard memory integrated within the device and exploit the microSD slot that offers an extra 32GB of storage space. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA and an Nvidia i450 HSDPA modem which offers 21Mbps speed. The manufacturers have also thrown in Dolby Mobile, Facetones, Evernote, Tegra Zone and HD Voice. Under the hood, the gadget is powered by a 1650mAh battery, while the Ice Cream Sandwich OS runs the complete show.
